Greetings YCP Families and Friends

It's time we do something fun to get everyone together again! It was great to see you all so regularly over the summer, and now that we are in our new home, it's time to get our socializin' on.

We're offering 3 great events... come on out and join us for some fun and friendship!

Wednesday, November 16^th – Movie & Popcorn Night

Time: 6:30-8:30pm

Cost: $5.00/youth

Wednesday, November 30^th – Christmas Craft Night

Time: 6:30-8:30pm

Cost: $5.00/youth

Wednesday, December 14^th - Christmas Baking – Gingerbread Houses/Cookies

Time: 6:30-8:30pm

Cost: $5.00/youth (or per person making a gingerbread house. If a companion wants to make their own it will also be $5.00)

Please Email Us to let us know if you will attend any of these events so we know how many youth to prepare for!

Radius is Moving!!

It's True! It's Official! It's Hot Off the Press!

After months of renovations and patient waiting and foot tapping, we are moving to our NEW home!

As of Tuesday, October 25th you can find us at 611 1st Avenue North in Saskatoon

Watch for news of our upcoming Open House! We can't wait for everyone to check out our new space.

Summer Glee Club A Smashing Success!!

Congratulations to all our Summer Glee Club youth!

Ten youth, ages 12-22, participated throughout the summer and performed 11 songs in their finale showcase.

Families and friends were blown away by your fantastic performance.  You should all be proud of your accomplishments. Great job!

Thank you to the Saskatoon Community Foundation for your generous funding support, and La Troupe du Jour for sharing your wonderful theatre space! And of course, thank you to our friends and families for your ongoing support throughout the project.

Another summer come and gone...

Well YCP Friends, another summer has come and gone! And what an adventure we had... Not only did the youth enjoy plenty of one on one time with our fantastic companions, we had lots of action packed activities.  What a wonderful way to enjoy the beautiful days of summer and meet new friends. 

Activities this summer included:
Saskatoon Jazz Festival
Taste of Saskatchewan
Picnic in the Park @ Kinsmen Park (plus rides, a visit to the Mendel Art Gallery and a walk to the weir!)
Fire Hall Tour
Swimming
Duct Tape Wallet Making at the Library on 20th
Movie Day (with fresh homemade cookies and all the popcorn you can eat!)
Wanuskewin Heritage Park (complete with dancing and a hike!)
Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park & Zoo (not only did we tour the zoo, but enjoyed a BBQ lunch and tried our hand at fishing!)

Thank you all for coming out to enjoy the activities! We can't wait for next summer already.  If you already have ideas for next summer, let us know!

Summer Glee Club

Hi YCP youth, companions, families, and all our blog followers!

The Youth Companion Program is offering a weekly Glee Club throughout July and August.  This will be an inclusive program - youth with and without disabilities are invited to join us.  All participants will receive a t-shirt and certificate.  Each week we will work on singing, dancing, music making and even sign language! We'll finish off the summer with a fantastic performance, showcasing all your hard work!
